Alternatives to Shaving with a Razor Blade

Although shaving may be the most popular way to get rid of excess hair on various parts of the body – there are many other methods that can be used to get rid of the excess hair. These methods vary from creams that can remove the hair temporarily and slow the growth to treatments which can stop the growth of the hair permanently such as laser hair removal. Finding alternatives to shaving can be a way to ensure that sensitive skin remains healthy.

Here are some methods that are popular, as alternatives to shaving with a Razor Blade:

Hair removal creams

Hair removal creams are a cheap way to get rid of the hair on your body. These creams are available for a low cost and can be purchased anywhere from the local pharmacy to the local supermarket. These creams are an effective way to remove hair from many areas of the body including the arms, legs, face and even the bikini line. These types of hair removal creams contain chemicals which cause the hair to detach from the skin and therefore are an effective way to remove hair from the body in as little as five to seven minutes without risking the chance of cutting yourself with a razor blade.

Laser hair removal

Is one of the most effective forms of hair removal. Over the course of the treatment, which can often take multiple sessions the hair follicles can be stopped from being effective and stop growing hair. Over the course of the treatments the hair growth will begin to slow and eventually the hair growth will stop completely. This will allow the patient to experience hairlessness on many parts of the body. There is little pain associated with laser hair removal but the treatments can be costly – albeit in most cases, permanent.

Waxing

Waxing is a way to remove hair from the root and slow the growth in the future. Waxing treatments are available at most salons and can be costly, as much as thirty dollars per treatment for the lower leg. There are many women that choose waxing, as well as men, because it is a quick and effective way to curtail hair growth on various parts of the body. Waxing is generally used on all parts of the body and is an effective replacement to shaving with a razor blade – as it can reduce the risks of razor burn.

These alternative methods to traditional shaving methods like shaving with a razor blade can sometimes cost more but can often provide positive results in comparison with shaving. There are many ways that you can complete waxing and cream hair removal at home, at the same cost of shaving with a razor blade while reducing the risks that you will cut yourself with a razor blade.

Taking advantage of these techniques can also save you time and increase the amount of time before the hair grows back and requiring you to complete another treatment.
